Theme updates bring fixes, security patches, and compatibility with new WordPress / WooCommerce versions. Update carefully so you don't lose changes.
Before you update:
1. Back up your site (files + database). Most hosts and plugins like UpdraftPlus can do this. 2. If you edited theme files directly, move those changes into a child theme first — a direct update overwrites theme files. See "Using a child theme for custom code".
To update:
1. Download the latest theme .zip (Envato Downloads, or your ecomnius.com account). 2. Update via the dashboard notice if available, or deactivate the current theme, delete it, and upload the new version. Deleting the theme does not delete your content or settings stored in the database. 3. After updating, also update the bundled plugins from the setup notice. 4. Clear any caching plugin and your browser cache, then check the site.
